After reviewing the information, feel free to contact us to discuss how LGA Consulting can help your company identify and track all appropriate public sector bids and awards, as well as locate key, appropriate bid winners and participants in order to identify important opportunities and intermediaries/ integrators to ensure your success in this rewarding but challenging market.

Why your company needs more than an intermediary search to be successful in the Mexican water sector

Clients often approach us thinking that all they need to do is find an appropriate intermediary and that they can handle everything else related to selling their products or services and be successful in this rewarding but very challenging region. However, this is almost never the case. And, in the case of the Mexican water sector, this is even more evident.

Many times, market information in Mexico is non-existent, out of date, or difficult to obtain. Gaining the necessary market perspective can be the difference between success and failure in developing markets. And, while many companies hope to get good market information from their Mexico sales intermediaries, this is actually the exception and not the rule. Mexico sales intermediaries are great at selling product and giving gut checks but they are also notorious for telling the client what is convenient for their personal expectations and goals or simply are not unable to provide reliable market information. As a result, regional intermediaries are rarely able to or should not be relied on for in-depth market analysis. For these same reasons, intermediaries should not be solely or extensively depended on for context about appropriate, viable opportunity and client targeting.

Most companies that we have worked with who have relied exclusively on their intermediaries to track Mexican public sector bids have told us that this is a mistake and has led to exclusion from some very important and viable bids.
